I have a trimmed dahsboard I want to instal in my 06 90. I intend on using the standard heater matrix and printing my own ducting. And eventually swapping over to the Puma gear selectors too but that can wait for now.
Can anyone advise me on a method for using the standard puma heater/ fan control. Ideally I would like to have some know how on the controller the puma dashboard comes with and whether its possible to adapt the TD5 loom to accomodate the switches. Puma switches are the same as the TD5 switches and use the same connectors.
The Puma heated seat switches are different to the TD5 heated seat switches, 'landscape' instead of 'portrait'. Functionally, they are wired the same - but, the Puma switches both use black 5-way connectors, whereas the TD5 switches use a black connector on one side and a green connector on the other side. Releasing the terminals from the green connector and inserting them into a black connector is easy, see my document for the D2 fuel flap switch, here - https://landrover-connectors.co.uk/instruction-sheets . Not sure what you are reffering to re switches. Only the upper central slider for the fan control is a switch, the others are bowden cables.

Thats right Frank, yes. I Should be able to manage a good solution for those. The heater cable stay has to be swapped over since its reversed. 4.0 V8 Defender 90

Item arrived today and would love to have these shared with me without having to guess cheers 4.0 V8 Defender 90 My Instagram |

Spent a couple hours on the small(ish) project tonight. I've also began the print for the air ducting manifold thing.
For those who are familiar with the pre puma bulkheads the panel which retains the demisters and other bracketry required some cutting on the LH side. This was to accomodate the back of the dash and its glove box/ shelf. I'll follow up tomorrow with photos of this. I plan on having a constant blower direction for now as I am cutting it close to my trim next month. So that will be the two front facing circular vents, the demisters and and the driver/ passenger demisters the Puma dash has. The second version of the airbox works well and provides a great dwarf with the 2 blower setup on my Td5. the bar is now in and I'm currently waiting for the ducting to arrive. From there I can print my T pieces for the multitude of sizes I'm using as well as the dash panel to accommodate just the gauges.
This is a clamp of sorts that I printed to keep the vent flaps shut. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge 4.0 V8 Defender 90 My Instagram |

I recall there can be issues with the dash interfering with the gearstick travel when doing this conversion.
