OIL FILTERS
Any one using a Mann filter for the new TD4 Defender? The part number is HU 711/51x. These also fit a Mini Cooper S. I have the OEM BMW and OEM LR Filter and they are identical. Both are made by Purflux with the part number for a Mini L 358 and for the LR L372.

The Filters are much cheaper through BMW or Mni FWIW.

Personal thing - i would stick with genuine LR parts for anything important.

I do on all of them Mike

You trust the French to make an OEM filter? Mann filters are made in Germany and are OEM for Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and VW. Bmw does seem to use Purflux, at least for the Mini Coopers are Peugot supplies the engines.
