Yes I can imagine that, unless these things are designed with really good hardware and firmware they can be more problem than a solution. And software patches don’t always do the trick either.

I had just not seen those before, caught my eye.

Personally I don't see the appeal.

One of the joys of driving my defender is that it doesn't have one of these modern digital displays.

It would be like driving my wife's Qashqai !
