I’m also a big fan of Meguiar's Ultimate Car Wash & Wax - tried different products but keep coming back to this. Might be worth a try. My Defender is treated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra - really makes the Tasman Blue pop.

How are you getting on with the gtechniq? I've just had a quote to get my tasman blue 110 done, there are different levels from light to ultra black and i'm not sure where to go. 24MY 110 p400e HSE in Tasman Blue

Part of the reason I went for a defender, was to be able to legitimately leave it parked, filthy and get nods of approval. I seriously think I've cleaned mine 5 times in 2 years..

So I thought I’d try washing the car myself now that it’s been ceramic coated. So I bought some citric pre-wash and a spray bottle and sprayed around the waist and down. I then waited five minutes and then jet washed the whole car followed by snow foam and then another plain water jet wash.
Then prefilled 2 20L buckets one with shampoo one with plain water both with grit guards. With a new wash mit, I washed from roof to sill, one panel at a time rinsing the mit inbetween each panel in clean water and applying shampoo with the mit as I went round. I jet washed again to rinse off the vehicle.
I used my leaf blower to dry most of the water from the car and finished off With micro fibre cloths to get the last of the wetness off.
I can honestly say, I’ll never do it again because my Detailer will do it for £30 and I reckon I have at least two grand worth of hospital bills coming from this.

My 110 is on order, with the matte wrap option. Any advice on what to do / not to do when washing it?

I think you can clean it with 80 grit if it’s wrapped. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black
