I have heard the Tough Dog ones are good but have failed to souce one in the UK despite being given the name of a company who is supposed to sell them.
Are you sure your front shocks/bushes etc are not causing the problem ? Bob |

Ahh so they should have noticed any real problems there.
I have not actually had any problems with the standard LR steering damper, they are quite cheap so maybe replace like for like ?? Bob |

You can get RTC dampers (Return To centre) from Terrafirma but I havent found anyone that has one yet.

going from the point that tyre pressures are ok i dare saying bushings might improve more than a steering damper.
had a wandering discoI full new OME shocks, springs and steering damper didn't make a difference in wandering but the new bushing set made it dissapear instantly. If i will need to replace another steering damper i'll go for an oem, always wondered where the price difference of the OME made any difference except for the looks. (within ''normal'' tyre size range) They are all quite simple things in the end. just my 2cents |

I had an Iron Man damper on mine. It's about three times the thickness of the OEM. If someone wants it they can have it for 30 quid (pick up only, cant be arsed to post it, its heavy). It's been on about 8,000 miles. Offroad and onroad performance is transformed from standard.

Ironically my Wife is actually going to Telford on Friday, her Grandfather lives there. If you PM me your email address, tomorrow I'll take a pic of it and send it to you.
