Possibly water on one of the switches or dodgy bonnet switch?

If you have a suitable diagnostic tool you can interrogate the alarm ECU and see what triggered it. Saves a lot of time.

Any recommendations?
My basic OBDII scanner isn't really cutting it at the moment and I need to upgrade, something that can put Electronic Parking Brakes in Maintenance Mode would be a great help. Craig. “Don't believe everything you read on the internet.” ― Abraham Lincoln www.scotgrc.co.uk |

It’s common for them to play up, they are relatively cheap to replace which is why I have any suspicions I just replace them.
The bonnet item is not as cheap though. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧 |

Alas, the issue has reappeared.
The rubber sleeve on the bonnet switch is perished and the plunger is wonky. Ordered a replacement (AMR2022) from John Craddocks eBay store £15 delivered (vs £46 if bought direct through their website). Hopefully this sorts the issue. 2011 CSW XS 90 |
