An annoying issue in a very specific situation.
The specific situation:
I have just updated my bulkhead loom to an XS part number.

Received updated 10AS to accommodate CDL and therefore alarm, ultrasonic and sounder abilities etc.

The car has been converted to a Petrol V8.

I no longer have the standard TD5 ECU, Gone, black plug sat there looking sad. Engine loom gone.

The Issue:

short and "simple" - The Alarm is sounding with every lock of the vehicle... Rather inconvenient.

So, I'm theorising that the 10AS may be wanting a signal from the ECU which is worst case scenario but not entirely since I can mimic some signals with my stand-alone ECU.

Best case scenario - its the damn door pin switches and theyre causing the alarm to set off... Rolling with laughter

Also, the interior lights do not turn on with the unlocking of the car, which supports my idea of all door pin switches being problematic.

I have a major lack of understanding of the 10AS so any help I will be grateful for lol

Photo of the car so this post isn't too boring

Is it one honk when locking? Then I‘d go for the door switches first. Note that pressing the pin actually _dis_connects the switch from ground, so try to unplug all door, rear door and bonnet switches, one after one and lock after each and see if AS10 is happy.

thats great news. I scanned the CDL wiring diagram and there is a connection. But I assume if left unconnected/ open this will have no effect. Luke Marsden

Its related to immobilser IIRC, @Martin? CDL, alarm and immobiliser are separate circuits though.
Also this may help debugging them: https://www.kraxlr.de/facts.html#led

You mean not at all? It's dark all the time? With driver door closed (or switch disconnected)?

And just to confirm: you get only a single horn signal when locking with the remote?

Yes.

It appears I've resolved the issue with the horn/ central locking - my own fault as I left the actuator suspended which was causing the alarm to sound once locked.

The current issue that just developed ( I know, another one) is it appears I have lost a common earth amongst a few features;

The stereo, hazard light switch & the horn itself....... Luke Marsden
