roof tent
hi hope all is well

i no this was posted some time ago but i have also been looking at roof tents recently and i am also tempted by this decathlon tent and am looking to install two pieces of ply wood to my roof bars if required though interested to be if the roof would bare the weight ok ?

Spud,

Saw someone using a tent cot on a 90. It’s basically like a garden chair with a cover.

He had mounted it on ply screwed on to two roof bars to provide the plat form.

You could easily attach that tent to the board. Would protect roof and give flat surface.

Also seen your idea. Same ply between roof bars with pop up tent attached.

Looked good.

Get a double skin pop up a lot better than the cheap ones.

I’ve got a quencha, had it 15 years, best tent I’ve ever owned.

I think your daughter will enjoy the quirky, individual pop up compared to a normal boring roof tent.

And her main aim is to sleep on her Land Rover.
