After 9 failed attempts I have today finally got OS 4.0.0 installed in my 110.

I even took the vehicle to the local dealership, and they couldn't install it !!!

BUT, they did give me a reason for the failures in the past. The windows were NOT closed (to their fullest height)

When downloading the software the vehicle tells you 'close all windows and doors, then arm the vehicle'

Well I have these vents fitted to my rear passenger windows......

The rear windows were closed, but the volumetric sensor said they weren't ! Hence no install.

you can't make it up !!!!!

And yes some here will say that's my fault

Took Hulk san in for the 2 year service and they updated the System/Navigation package to IP36.
Pivi pro is still suck on 3.2.1… but I do get Apple Maps in the IDD which was a surprising win.
Still no wireless CarPlay though.

Hello All,

New here, so please be kind to me...

How can I tell which OS version my new defender is running?

I have tried going to Settings, ALL, Software Update, and on the right of the screen it simply says:
Vehicle software is up to date
Last installed software update:
Name:
Installed:

There are no version numbers etc.

Is this normal?

I think you have the original version that has never been updated. This used to not show a version number and after the first update it then shows the version numbers MY25 D350 Defender 110 X, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

OK... that is what I thought, but how can I know which version I am running, so that I know if I can expect a new version?

Today mine 90 of 2024 got the update 4.1.3 which says preparation for further power and performance increase features.

Carplay wireless stopt

After this update my wireless carplay stopt working? on the cable its working fine?

Mine is still on 4.1.0

Can I force it to update?

In the settings, it says that it is up to date!!

I’m on 4.0.1 and it says it’s up to date. I don’t think you can force an update MY25 D350 Defender 110 X, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

Mine updated yesterday but says I have version 4.1.1_ so have no idea what actual version that is? MY25 D350 Defender 110 X, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

Mine updated 21 February to 4-1-3 as per some others have, strange how it’s not consistent to all vehicles.
