sounds like they are booking on the longest possible length in the Cars model family and now there is a 130 its using that length. If that's what's happening i would think a lot of 90 owners are kicking off 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

I am sorry to learn that you are disappointed with my response. I take on board your feedback and confirm that the company we use for vehicle data are continuously updating the data in the system as newer models are released into the market. The last update they provided for this particular vehicle moved the category of vehicle length to the next tier. Having done a quick search on Google, I have found that the Defender 110 has increased from 4758mm in length to 5018mm in length for the more recent models.

I appreciate this may vary from specific model to model, however as previously explained it is not possible to hold the exact dimensions of all the different versions of particular makes and models, and as such we base our pricing on an average, which is supplied by this company.

I understand your disappointment, Mr ++++++, however, I confirm that there is nothing further that we are able to add to this matter and so we are now closing this case.

So they seem to believe that the car has increased in size but in fact it’s the figure without the spare wheel !!

Bizarre !!!!

I have asked them to explain why the company they use have changed the pricing strategy, when nothing has changed to the dimensions of the car. I think I have opened up a can of worms.

I believe I am correct in saying, all LR Defenders leave the factory with spare wheels attached to the rear door, an have done since 2019 !!

So they’ve actually been undercharging 110s up until this point then? As they were using a measurement that did not include the spare wheel?

Depends if you deem the spare wheel as 'part' of the vehicle. As it is removable (and may even be optional in some circumstances), I'd say it shouldn't be included in the vehicles official length.

No, it should be included, as it's how the vehicle left the factory.
