Optimill Side Vent - Fitting
Hi

So I eventually got the original vent off. Turns out it had been glued onto the wing presumably the pins had snapped. Getting it off was not easy it was really well stuck.

Having done that and tidied it up I fitted the Optimill vent and whilst doing so was slightly surprised that it has no recess in it for the slightly proud torx heads that hold the plastic ducting inside the wing in place. Is there a gasket I'm missing? It seems like it just sits on top of the torx heads right now so there's going to be a gap behind it.

Maybe that's the way they fit but I thought I'd ask. It looks ok ..

I’m going take the lack of comments to mean it needs no gasket and what I did was ok

I don't recall that the torx head screws are original, I seem to remember mine had countersunk cross-heads going into spire nuts, and therefore a flat surface under the crappy plastic thing.

It was at least a decade ago when I binned it and blanked the hole so my memory may be wrong.
