Windscreen wipers
It is about time to replace the front wipers. The original LR ones are expensive and not that brilliant. Are there any good aftermarket alternatives that will fit at this time? I don’t trust what comes up in a google search.

Bosch Aerotwin AP22U fit nicely, with a small modification to the clip.

Took the plunge and ordered a pair of Bosch AeroTwin AP23U knowing that a "small modification to the clip" was needed. But these come with four clips and it doesn't state which clip to use and I couldn't find the details anywhere here or online stating which part of which clip needed modifying Rolling Eyes

So by the power of deduction I have concluded its clip 4 that's the best one to use Wink

The modification I chose was to remove the side clips highlighted in Red and then to slightly reduce the height of the area highlighted in blue so that the washer jet section on top of the wiper arm doesn't stop the clip from locking into place correctly.

All very easy now I know what to do next time but hopefully this may be of some use to others Thumbs Up

New blades are excellent and super quiet Cool

Bought a pair of Bosch 989S for just under £23. Straight fit and a clear performance improvement IMHO. Although the fact that the original ones were 2,5 years old when replaced probably made a difference. But you can’t go wrong with these.
