Chile 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Stornoway Grey
3rd row safety latch adjustment
Hi there!

After several months of doing nothing with the Defender, I'm trying to solve some old issues.

Does anyone know how to adjust the Puma's 3rd-row safety latch?
When the seat is open, it rattles a lot and I suspect the latch is out of adjustment, but I have no idea how to do it.

I have the opposite problem that mine rattle more when they are in the stowed position. I find them less noisy when the seat nase is down, and the back rest folded onto the seat base. Probably because of the lower center of gravity of the assembly when in that position.

On another thread in this forum, I learned that there should be some rubber end caps on the pin ends of the supports tubes. Mine did not have. As I recall, there was no LandRover part number availability, but ordered some rubber end caps from an online trading site. They fitted well, but could not gauge any improvement!! 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Thanks Dinnu

Mine has a plastic insert in the tube (circled in red) but doesn't have any rubber end cap.
Finally, I put an insert in the part where the striker bracket tube touches the floor to raise it 4 mm and the problem diminishing but not disappearing.
