[sorted] 110 utility side panels could swap for station wago
Hi there
I’m after a pair of utility side panels
Must be straight.
Ideally Fuji white but any colours could work.
Potential to exchange for station wagon sides with windows
Thanks Tom Defender puma dormobile camper

I believe series 3 swb panels fit.

88" side panels do fit (SII, IIA, or III) but look different with different rivet patterns and the door seal is different. They will work if you don't mind the differences.

The genuine parts are ARR710450 (n/s) and ARR710440 (o/s) and they are still available new, but cost around a grand each (most suppliers also illustrate them with window holes for some reason, these part numbers are for the solid sides).

Have you considered reskinning your sides? I recall seeing some photos of the process somewhere, IIRC the outer skin is relatively simple with only 1 or 2 folds. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread

I've got an immaculate pair of sides, that I was saving for my own build - but that keeps getting pushed back... £1200 ovno

Are in Galway Green.

Are as close as possibe to a new take off.

Cheaper than the £850 + vat each new.

I'm about to do just this - I've had panels cut to size and if they fit as planned I'll be happy to share the dimensions 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power

Ive got a 300tdi CSW and ive been considering swapping the sides. In truth, ive not really looked at how the existing ones are constructed. I assumed they were single piece as an L shape, but now im wondering if that is the case?

How far along are you with your plans?

Thank you.

There's a bit more to them than that, but skinning them is easy with a couple of pieces of aluminium. 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power

I am planning the same thing for Miffy. With the dog crate in the back there is no need for the windows and they will be more secure without them. Interesting idea about the re-skinning, actually a great idea, I always prefer recycling parts rather than just buying them.

Would love those dimensions if you wouldn't mind Thumbs Up

Just the one set of dimensions, I had a panel of 3mm Aluminium Composite cut to do the job. I don't have the dimensions written down for the side panel, but essentially it's 520mm X length of panel. My side panels are older and have a strip at the door seal edge, newer panels don't have this so you can run all the way up to the door.

Hope that helps! I used sikaflex equivalent to bond the panels on, and also used it to fill/tidy where the two pieces met. Similar to what you'd see on panoramic glass installs on Defender sides.

Aluminium Composite will give you a much more rigid side panel, so hopefully less drumming and you don't need to worry about the missing strengthening rib 1990 Defender 110 200TDI Camper - now converted to Td5 power
