the timed relay operates another relay, and by the sounds of it that side of it is working fine... but you need to check the supply to that second relay..im afraid I don't know what fuse is involved in supplying that second heated screen relay..

Multimeter on the windscreen connections. If theres voltage there it works if not then work your way back Instagram @defender_ventures

If it is installed as the diagram there is not much to check.
If there is power to windscreen connections then the screen elements have failed. Check the earth, as it is possible that the switch light could illuminate if the earth is poor. As the switch light illuminates then the fuse would seem to be ok, but you could replace it to be certain. If there is no power to the windscreen connectors, then the control box may have failed. Your multimeter is the solution here. Just work through the circuit. |

 Click image to enlarge So i've removed the cover to investigate and as you can see the quality of craftsmanship is not as good as first hoped. Anyway i've take some multi meter readings. Can anyone offer any support? I've also done a reset as per instructions but there is still no voltage to allow the windscreen to get warm. Click image to enlarge |

Had mine fail too. Changes are one of the wires are broken, they use very cheap materials. Sadly. Because the thing itself is way overpriced for what you find inside. I wouldn't bother trying to repair it but instead replace it with a timer relais circuit board from aliexpress. Costs next to nothing and has adjustable timing settings with buttons and displays. Will edit my post when I get home to include and example. Have replaced it myself and happy ever since.
/edit: I used a board like this one here. Programmable, but current only up to 15A. That's why I use it to trigger a normal relay to be on the safe side. |

I don't think the Red Bison brand has a particularly good reputation for quality ! I used the Mobile Centre harness which though quite expensive has worked flawlessly for the last 9 years.

It's really not difficult to make your own harness and replicate the factory installation.

what current would it normally pull? would it be over 15amp? the fuse fitted is 30amp

All working now. Voltage at windscreen. Found this same item on Amazon, ordered, fitted and now windscreen should work. Just need a frosty morning.....
