JLR modifications?

This picture was taken recently at JLRs Gaydon R&D Centre. Is the Gondwana Stone Defender in its ‘further extended ride height’ setting, or is the car modified? Also the BF Goodrich AT tyres and wheels (18”?) aren’t standard fit so why would JLR show the car with these modifications?

Interesting, not seen a Ladder fitted over a Molle plate before .........

........ until I did it myself only last week

(the ladder did need two new holes drilled into the top mount bracket)

I would say they’ve tricked it to go into fully extended mode which happens when the vehicle grounds out. Though there’s probably a setting in Pathfinder that allows them to do it . 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

l am sure that JLR will modify and refine the Defender, after all it's now been out three years, l am surprised there haven't been more updates

Interestingly, that front bash plate is completely different to the factory version and it appears to have rock sliders fitted. Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S

Interesting… a lot going on there:

- definitely more than just electronically raised suspension…
- US spec? (Lights on fenders) It’s LHD anyway

I would say that it has a subframe lift. I am seeing these more often here in the US. That one looks to be at least 5 inches - I am guessing a subframe as the bash plate on the front had to be extended down to the subframe. I have a 2inch subframe with sliders and 18's myself.

@LR Nuts - where did you get the molle plate. Great idea!
