Rear Door latch

looks like a stud which fastens the rear door latch in has failed to withstand my sheer force of slamming that door.

Are they easy to extract or am I done for?

2012 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Santorini Black

Can drill from inside out and replace with a standard M6 bolt? Careful when the drill bit is about to go through, as I think the bolt is behind the skin (maybe 1” away) and if the drill bit is ling enough you can mark/dent the skin of the door. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Quite easy to remove. You can reach the bolt from the outside. Puma 110" SW

^^^not welded to the door?
If it was the old style welded door, then it would be easier with a nut plate. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I did it on a 2013MY. I have not checked mine (2007) Puma 110" SW
