Thanks for the part number. Makes sense. I was trying too hard to match it visually.
I updated my earlier post with that part number. |

Reposting from one of my earlier posts on a different Land Rover forum…
A few more resources that might be useful to people considering either the 11.4” or 13.1” screen retrofits: 11.4” retrofit process overview: &si=eNuscBIBgXZ5qQ06 Might be a useful reference for the disassembly process. Comparison of 10”, 11.4”, and 13.1” screens: &si=-cUurliilz50F7I_ Note the reference to reusing Summer Auto’s proprietary 11.4” bracket in support of the 13.1” screen. This reference aligns with what Summer Auto/Zhous has shared with me via email. It’s not yet clear to me if using the Gap IID Tool’s access to the 11.4” screen setting would apply to the 13.1” screen. In other words, I wonder if the 11.4” -> 13.1” retrofit doesn’t end up changing the resolution. (I had a similar experience retrofitting a Golf MK7 screens in that retrofitting didn’t provide a corresponding increase in resolution. Still a useful upgrade for me, but not ideal.) As mentioned in a prior post in this thread, Summer Auto/Zhous is willing to sell a SKU of all the parts minus the larger screen for those of us who might source the screens separately. |

@Clark4x4
I have received all the connectors required but I'm getting a bit confused. Could you please help me with the connector pin locations? The grey connector has 12 holes 1-12 and the Green one has 4. Could you please clarify which pins from the Green connector go to which holes in the Grey connector? My understanding is: (Green)----->(Grey) Pin 1 goes to Pin 12 Pin 2 goes to Pin 9 Pin 3 goes to Pin 3 Pin 4 goes to Pin 1 Also would be great if you could help with the existing pins that need to be removed from the existing connector and placed into the Black connector. I believe there are 4 cables/pins a) grey/violet b) violet/green c) grey/violet d) black This is my guess of how it should be connected: Please correct me if this is wrong. (Green) Pin 1 connects to Pin with Black wire (d) Pin 2 connects to Pin with Grey/Violet wire (c) Pin 3 connects to Pin with Violet/Green (b) Pin 4 connects to Pin with Grey/Violet wire (a) Click image to enlarge 3.0L MHVE D200 S Pangea Green+Black Pack Adv. + Off-Road and Family Packs |

Ok,
let me try to help. Green connector is used just to avoid to cut cables... this connector can use current pins, that are not valid for Grey connector. take a look to this graphic, you could see both connectors for both screen models: Click image to enlarge so, for example, if you take connector from small screen,this one: Click image to enlarge Pin1, black, need to end connected to pin 12 big screen grey connector: Click image to enlarge Green connector, I use pin 4 for black cable, but could use other position. in my case, i made green connector so: Pin 1 from old blue/black connector connected to pin 4 of green connector (we could consider this connector as a "brige"), because these pin 4 is connected to pin 12 in grey connector. 1-->4-->12 (old blue connector, green connector, grey connector) same way pin 12 from blue conector, color grey-violet, I connected to pin1 in green connector, because this is connected to pin 12 in grey connector. 12-->1-->12 and same for can bus cables: 4-->2-->3 10-->3-->9 I sugest to draw it, like I did in last picture. Or sent a picture of your cable and I try to do it... And don't hesitate to ask if is not clear... Cheers |

Thank you @Clark4x4
All clear now. In simple terms, the location of the pins in the "bridge" does not make any difference as long as the existing pins connect to the new screen as below: Click image to enlarge @Clark4x4 could you please also clarify if you have made any modifications/trimming to the upper long dash trim in order to accommodate the large screen? 3.0L MHVE D200 S Pangea Green+Black Pack Adv. + Off-Road and Family Packs |

Well, I didn't modify anything related to dash trim. I know lower trim is different, but once mounted I didn't detect any issue, let me show it:

Does anyone know if you can simply change the CCF setting to support the 13.1" screen via GAP IID tool and got it working?
Also for those who want the part numbers for both screens: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Well, not sure to be honest... I think that yes, must work (in CCF there is only one "Alpine" option if I remember well)... I guess until someone test it we don't know.
