Ok but I'm more interested in what affects it has on the engine as I was thinking of using it for challenge events? 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs

I've seen kerosene do damage in petrol engines with contaminated fuel. I don't know how hot the diesel engine will be running with kerosene in place of diesel? Confused

I read somewhere that the TD5 would run on jet fuel, however never heard of a Puma on it. Heard the Yanks in Iraq had a few Discos TD5"s because of this ability.

Not without a remap, due to the lower cetane rating the ignition delay would make your exhaust rather hot. Also it would not be kind to your pump and injectors. But then you could put some 2so in the fuel....

That was the 300TDi in the Defender XD (aka Wolf) - don't think this feature made it to the TD5

Ive not run the Puma on kerosene, but I ran the last two diesel cars i had (an Audi and a Skoda) on it from time to time, and never had any problems at all. In fact I couldnt actually detect any difference at all when driving.

I used to run tdi on kero, with no problems at all. You need to add a bit of two stoke oil to it as it doesn't have the same lub qualities of diesel
