I hope this has not been posted before. There is some lovely old Land Rover footage from about 6 mins onwards. Makes me misty eyed! Some great shots of production line.

I love the chainsaw driven off the PTO, the guy nearly fell out of the tree when the branch went

A lot of press shots were taken near Chadwick End and also at Packington Hall(just up the road from the factory) My old man used to work on the Packington estate and told me about the sand ladders that were put across one of the lakes so that the works drivers knew that they were 'safe' to wade across!! The estate also used to be used for research and development of Nuffield tractors. The old chap said that when they wanted a new tractor they used to drop the implement into the ground and turn sharp right and the lift arms would snap off!! The R&D department would come out with a new 'improved' tractor and take away the broken one
