When you started the engine , did the red alarm light on the dash ( that flashes when vehicle is locked and alarm is on ) stay on ( not flashing but on ) with the engine running. If so this is a sign that the fob battery needs replacement. Noting that the fob communicates with the alarm to enable the engine to start, hence it should be on the same keyring as the key as it communicates with an antenna near the ignition barrel. If the battery in the fob is too low then it can’t broadcast to the antenna and hence the vehicle won’t start.
So make sure you fob batteries are new to discount that as your issue.

Double check on the red light tomorrow to be 100% .
On the l put new batteries.

I locked the vehicle started it up . The red light does not go on . No red goes on or it flashes .
Is that okay or has a problem?
