Wake Up Timer
Does anyone known what the "Wake Up Timer" actually does?

I miss the scheduled engine start feature and found, deep in the app a 'wake up timer'. It seems to be designed for vehicles parked for extended periods of time. But I'm not sure if it's just an electronics wake up and cycle, or if it includes an engine start to charge the battery..

Could this be used as an alternative to the scheduled cabin pre-conditioning? I assume not.. but I'm hopeful..

Are you talking the app wake up timer that is supposed to stop the car going into to full shut down, so the remote features still work

Or

the fuel park heat function (if fitted) where the car will heat up/cool down etc Mike

...I don't know...

There used to be a feature where you could schedule a vehicle to switch on the engine and run the air-conditioning at a certain time and date. It was useful for things like warming the vehicle up before you entered in cold climates, or if car camping, the car could be scheduled to turn on and warm the cabin early in the morning.. There is a remote start feature in the app now, but being able to schedule this automatically was very useful.

I see a feature in the app:
Within the App>Vehicle Settings>Wake Up Timer "Use when vehicle is parked for extended period"

I assume this is some form of electronics cycle, as you described in the first option. But I don't know.
How long can a vehicle be parked before a full shut down?

Yes your talking about timed climate

I think the original feature has long since disappeared, i recall it on the D4 and D5 but im sure it hasnt been a feature since the updated infotainment systems. It was on the d5, maybe the first or second gen, but not my last 2 or the defender, so im going to go with certainly not on privi.

I think there may have been an option of timed climate, that certainly included a remote, i dont know if it gave the old timer function.

Of course the point now is you open the app and just tell it to start the car Mike

The Wake Up feature on the app is just to get the car to wake up when you're away so you can still check on the car on the App. I think the car goes into a deep sleep after three days.

It doesn't start the car. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.
