Loose wires Burnt wires Screen seal letting water in all over electrics No wonder I’ve had issues and 3 garages couldn’t find it! All wires are now being traced, repaired and the rust being killed and any bad areas cut out and plated then treated. Plus a new screen seal! Quoted around £1300 to sort it all out So I guess this 110 is stuck with me now cos I’ve spent a fortune looking for this fault!!!!

The seats came from one of the other defenders I sold so swapped em with my standard xs!
Much comfier! Just got to the end of this thread and WOW what a journey you have had with this 110, hopefully now you've found the problem

She's back now and looking smart!
New windscreen rubber seal New bulkhead to windscreen frame seal bulkhead corners repaired and repainted alll rust taken back behind dash and treated new wiper spindles fine tuned the engine and starts instantly and runs smooth as a babys bum! Click image to enlarge All I need to do now is to sort out the rusty tub capping on the rear and add fox shocks to the fronts to match the rears. I have found a MSS storage drawer for the back to hope to pick that up at Billing! Just my personal opinion, but I don’t think a tubular bumper would suit it as well a tapered one |

Just ordered LOF One piece shafts
Its booked in end of August for new tub cappings as current have corroded. Plan to fit LOF Clutch and Output shaft at the same time as well as Gwyn Lewis propshafts! then do the airbox mod and new air intake pipe and intercooler then a nice remap from either Alive or BAS. Should be able to hold her speed a little better while towing up motorway hills 
I haven't had time to text about the 130 swap yet, its Ex SSE so I've got a paint job to sort out if I do do It but it is very high spec 130 to be fair. Ive done around 2000 miles in the 110 in the last couple weeks and shes been a trooper! I do need to get the AC sorted out and put some insulation on the gearbox tunnel as she sure gets hot around my feet! Replaced the rubbish looking LED headlight that originally came with the 110 when I bought it 12 months ago for some JW Speaker copies from Ebay
£40 posted and very happy with them! much bright and much better spread of light and a bargain price ive had 2 different sets on 2 different pumas now and not had any issues apart from snow build up/ Also changed my sidelights brake/tail and Indicators to LED and are now super bright compared to the dim OEM bulb units. Next on the list is a new windscreen wash nozzle probably CSI parts or Optimill versions, both are CNC'ed metal so should last a while. as the original got ripped off when I lost a wiper blade and took it out Battery fob died when leaving work so wouldn't start but luckily I knew the symptoms of the fault and I carried a spare battery for the fob so took the fob apart and installed new battery and on my way ind inutes  veteran defender owner me lol

Got a roof tent free off a vehicle that came in for stock so removed it off that defender and put it on my own 110

My 110 is still trucking away nicely, did well doing nearly 300 miles to North Devon and back to meet L110CDL and pick up one of his 90s, ill be back in a couple weeks to pick the other up, Lovely man and a pleasure to chat to
lovely part of the world and I even discovered where the famous Devon 4x4 lives! Devon North link road has some nice hills that the 110 got a sweat on pulling the loaded trailer up, had to knock down to third gear on one hill!
