Looks Great, and a good solution. I agree the DC looks much better with the canvas tilt, especially a black exmoor trim mohair... Whistle

Do you not bother carrying a spare wheel at all? so much of the DC is taken up by the tire!!

Yes, the exmoor canvas is nice....bit pricey though from what I understand. My 5th Zu was having a tyre mounted when I took these pics. It's kept in the back, but I want a 'sonic' wheel carrier for it.....almost got one a little while ago, but a mis-timed boiler replacement got in the way! Big Cry

I know the cage seems pricey, but if you see the quality/work that goes into one, it starts to become clear why they charge what they do. I'm glad I went for it!

Thought I would revisit this thread.

Does anyone know if this is available with side doors as well as looking at a new tilt with side doors as well?

Sounds like a very simple mod to cut out a door and rivet hinge and lock furniture in once you know exact sizing and location of aperture in canvas tilt.

Out of interest what tilt are you going for?

For my money, I'd spend the money with a local enginnering company and have in made bespoke with weldmesh panels.

I have been toying with making my own as can have it how I want (side opening etc) but the patriot one does look good.

Not sure on the canvas yet possibly the exmoor trim one but haven't really looked into it yet. I was going to go for a wolf canopy or trojan back but thinking the canvas looks good and cheaper especially as I can use my existing standard canvas with the cadge until I can save the penny's for a new one.
