Hi,
Try 4wdrive.co.uk I think they have what you’re after. I fitted Mobile Storage Systems grilles to mine - they fit inside, and the plastic trim still fits around that. Though it needs trimmed a little. Pics on my rebuild thread somewhere. The other version is made by Mobile storage solutions and they are internal. Mine are going on 15 years old now and fit with the grey plastic window trims

Assuming we are referring to these:
https://4wdrive.co.uk/shop/rear-quarter-window-guard/ they seem a great design and not something I have come across before, thanks for bringing this to my attention. 2005 Td5 90 XS 1989 V8 110 CSW |

Strikes me as making the quarter glass secure, very. I’m not sure a foam gasket will assist much with curing leaks some sealant might be prudent but then there’s a struggle if they need removed.
Likely not practical due to material costs but I’d be nice if they did the same for the door. They do an internally fitted guard, I wonder how best to provide strong fixings? Can rivnuts hold strong enough to take a determined beating? |

I hadn't realised until now that although these bolt into place, they must be sized so as to fit within the standard window aperture and not require drilling. I've never been shy of drilling my old car if needed, but another 12 holes would be a lot.
As I said above, I have the MSS internal guards fitted, on both the door and the quarter windows. For the quarters, they are retained by rivnuts at the bottom, and use 2 of the roof/side fixings on the top. For the tailgate guard it's rivnuts all round - maybe 8 of them in total, from memory. As has been said before if someone wants your car or its contents badly enough, they'll get in no matter what you have done or fitted. Cordless tools would make short work of most security options. For the opportunist thief though, I think that grilles, even fitted with rivnuts would provide more than enough protection. Getting a poorly set rivnut out of place is a real pain, even with time and tools.
