your lucky, Every station around here, is practically on £2 a litre now, Asda as kept the price at 1.95 and petrol for 1.85, for the moment. Which could be the cheapest station at the moment.
I recon by the end of the month, all local stations will go into £2 marker, i know the service stations are well into that anyway.


Its was over £2 and now just under.......the wholesale price has been right down for ages so it 'should' fall.....
And if you stop buying poncy coffees and breakfast then your loan would be more easily repaid

Diesel has dropped here. I saw it for €1.98 or £ 1.68. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Totally agree.

It seems to be the price point that the industry believes people will ‘happily’ pay, because they have no choice…… Rolling Eyes

When I was an account manager back in the day when we would claim back 11p a mile (diesel), when the price went to £1.01 that’s when I had to embellish my mileage so that I would not lose out. Didn’t make money, but certainly didn’t want to lose out.

Gawd knows what people are doing now. I am guessing they are paying to work.

id hate to see how much the lorries are to fill up now, i watched a lad on youtube called trucker tim, He filled his lorry up, which cost close to £500. which was last year, id put money on it been well over a 1000 now. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It would now cost me well over £500 to fill the tank on my Iron Fairy completely. Needless to say, I don't, partly because I don't want to leave over £500 of fuel where it could be stolen by unscrupulous low-lifes, and also because it gets so little use that there is no point.

It wasn't so bad in the old days since the fact that the crane never ventures on the public highway meant that it would be filled with red, but those nice folk in the Government changed all that so now legally it has to use taxed fuel. Big Cry

In fact the cost of a full oil change including hydraulic oil, plus a tank of fuel, would far exceed what I paid for the crane. How mad is that?

Blackwolf, where i work, the injection machines leak oil far worse than defenders, they wont fix the machines at all. The mount of oil that is lost, i would hate to price that i tell you.

what can you use red diesel for now? seem that the government changed the rules of the game. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Agriculture and forestry only, I think, I'm not even sure that horticulture is allowed. Also railway locomotives can use rebated fuel, and central heating boilers.
