How to bleed the clutch slave cylinder?
Hi,
I have just renued the brake fluid on my 07 defender as the colour was quite dark, bled the brakes and all went well so I thought I would do the clutch as well,
So I have syphoned off the old fluid as it was a horrible grey milky colour and replaced it with mobile dot 4,but when it came to bleeding the clutch all I can find is a black plastic unit with a bleed nipple on it on the gearbox bell housing
is this the right one?
Also is it bled in the same manner as the slave cylinder on a 300tdi? as its plastic I dont want to break it now they have seen fit to put the slave cylinder inside the bell housing.
So any advice from someone who haas done this before or a couple of pictures would be great.

On the plus side the gear changes felt a lot smoother and less snaggy today.

Yes you have found it Thumbs Up

It only does move one way if I remember. We just put an easi bleed on it & pumped/poured etc until new oil came through

It was quite easy if you ask me

Sorry no pics Embarassed Chris
