I thought I should put up this post as we are at that time of year again. Remembrance Day tomorrow & Remembrance Sunday.
As well as my own poppy on my 90, I see others have one on some of their's too. I've seen HGV's around today with them on amongst cars etc, and Sainsbury's, M&S and more trucks. I thought this maybe of interest to some of you also: http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/busi...rs-8328801 At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them Diesel$ Live$ Matter. β½οΈπ’οΈπ¨βπ§π§°βοΈ RED, WHITE & BOOST! π¬π§ |

I was at the Solihull factory last year on November 11th, doing the Defender assembly line tour. At 11:00, I was just at the end of the assembly line where the vehicles are being driven off for the first time. Sharp, right at 11:00 the entire factory went silent, I mean COMPLETELY silent, you could hear a pin drop. As I am sure most of you know, that's a huge building with lots of machinery and people. It was an amazing show of respect, a moment I don't think I will ever forget. it's a Landrover thing...

I'm here because my grandfather survived both WWI & WWII
My wife is here because her father escaped from a prison train on-route to Birkenau. We are the lucky ones. Click image to enlarge SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

I've had a sombre moment today. Didn't go anywhere. Just sat at home with my thoughts and remembered all those that have sacrificed their future so that we had a future.
I'm out with work tonight for drinks, so will raise a glass and express my gratitude to those that served before and gave their all. At the going down of the sun, we will remember them. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
