Rocker cover oil leak !
Got the dreaded oil leak from the rear of the rocker cover gasket.

Is it best to fit genuine or after market, not B******t ?

Mine is a 15P engine so the part number is LVP000020 and does not have the blobs of sealer at the rear.
As it was replaced a few years ago I am suspicious the spaces ERR7266 may be shot so will replace those as well.

Not sure if I will replace the harness as I have no oil in the red ecu plug but I may just change it as I have it apart.
Injector seals sure good so not touching them.

Anything else I should do whilst I have access ?

Cheers

Check the rollers of the injector rockers, they can wear out on Td5's. Recently had this with ours, and according to my indie (very experienced, the kind that doesn't retire) it happens quite regularly, although I have almost never seen it being mentioned on the forums.

Some more detail, on the risk of diverging from the initial topic: LR only offers complete rocker shaft assemblies, so I replaced it by a used rocker. Don't use 10p rockers on a 15p, LR explicitely warns against it. 15p on a 10p head is ok though.
Our indie has only once replaced the camshaft for this reason. Mine does show signs of wear on the cam at the damaged roller, but he deemed it OK for further service.

When I checked some older pics from a time when I replaced the wiring harness, I noticed that the damage was already present, 55000km ago (middle cylinder):

Tend to find that damage when they’ve been drinking diesel.
