Allthough my problems seem to have disappeared the next time i’am in the workshop i Will Check the headgasket.

Oh Ps. I forgot to mention in my previous post i also did the Nakatanenga SpaceR and the pel switch

Nothing solved the problem on its own but all the little steps solved the problem a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

Still having issues Evil or Very Mad
Map sensor replaced
Maf sensor replaced
Intrcooler hose replaced
EGR valve replaced
Start up and it goes great. Great around the doors 20-30 miles. Flies on the flat and down hill but add in a slope on a motorway/dual carriageway in top and it dies drops to 50 and then struggles afterwards (limp mode) unless you stop and restart it to reset it. Then it’s back to normal until you labour the engine in top. If I never went anywhere near a dual carriageway/ motorways I would not know anything is wrong.

Are you monitoring the temperature with Nanocom, Ultragauge or similar?
Monitoring the engine will give you the information which parameters are out of range and if there are any errors stored in the ECU.
If it is not the overheating problem, then maybe it is overboost. Although I have a Puma by myself I have little experience with this engine. In a Td5, with the symptoms you describe I would guess it is overboost.
Anyway - computer monitoring and recording is a must to solve this. Bergos

I second that. You really need real-time monitoring. You can’t trust the gauges.

My real-time water temp was > 110 degrees and gauge was in the middle. a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

It's a vauxhaul vivaro , but what you're descriibing is identical to what i get

Well, after much head scratching and money spent it finally appears to be fixed. Failed turbo actuator!! The actuator was not working fully correctly. Cure was a new turbo. All working correctly now.
