Dave at VGS and his work are generally very well regarded, so I'd say leaks are pretty unlikely Wink

Quite like that. Very popular on the Range Rover.

Each to their own, so not going to slag off the product, but I've never quite 'got' the Panoramic roof thing.

1) Generally the windscreen is the only glass i'm concerned about while driving. Other glass as required naturally (for junctions, overtaking)
2) Panorama of what exactly ? A panorama of the sky, umm ok sure.

I suppose if you're claustrophobic a glass roof may be desirable, that said if all you have to worry about is confined spaces, you really need to get out more ;p 3 Landrovers

Very handy to see things falling off my roof rack Laughing

I like the idea of it and all the extra light. My side Panoramic windows being heavily tinted help keep the car cool, but my roof is insulated to help keep the extreme heat out, so down here it would not work, I'd cook.

I quite like the concept, and the quality of the product and workmanship will be second to none - but like others, I'd be a little anxious when tinkering with my roof rack and all of the other occasional paraphernalia I have 'up top.'

The sun would be the least of my worries Rolling with laughter

Hello tolley

I like it too...

Interesting, the example shown is one without a Sunroof and for me, that's were i'd start.

It's not so much about viability, it's about light levels in the cabin particularity at the upper end of the norther hemisphere, I went in a XS last week with a charcoal interior (head lining) and it was just too dark.

There is also the opportunity for Land Rover with the replacement Defender, to really get this aspect right,
an off road vehicle, needs as near as possible 100% / 360 degrees of viability for the occupants (so maybe forgetting skywards for a moment) the blind spots on the current Defender should be improved...

I liked also this observation...

I've looked at these at shows and they are nice giving a very 'airy' feel. The only downside is if you have tinted windows the extra light from roof means you can see thru the tint from outside. Does that make sense? We have tinted windows which adds a little security as prevent people looking in from outside as it is dark inside. James

Swac3, a panoramic glass roof is essential for dodging satellites re-entering the atmosphere. Just think how much safer that would be. Guarantee a good reduction in insurance premiums.

I never got panoramic glass, but I got a rather nice Jag XE as a courtesy car at the last service and I have to say I was quite smitten by it.

I really like it, though I would never fit one personally.

Might be nice in a 110 camper

I am sure it would bump up your insurance. I once owned a Fiat Stilo with one of those concertina type folding glass roofs and I had to pay a premium for it.
Saying that I do like the look but like others would not have one fitted at least not at nearly a grand to have one installed. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
