Like the idea of the wiper mounted washers, but I am a big fan of my aero wipers... Might have to make do with the dual washer jets!

^^^^ I was thinking this earlier, same here.
Does the twin jet not reduce the flow and pressure. Surely double the outlet and a T or Y joint will 1/2 the jets pressure? Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

I done the twin washer mod and it was one of the better mods I've done, well worth it with no noticeable reduction in pressure at all Thumbs Up Optimists say the glass is half full..
Pessimists say the glass is half empty..
Engineers say the glass is twice the size it needs to be!

Depends whether the pressure in the single jet is limited by the pump or the nozzle.

I know if I aim mine wrong it has no problems shooting it's useless spray way over the top of the screen at 70!

The jets can age and corrode and cause problems I've found.
My rear one is new, the old one started to corrode on one nozzle and sprayed out the other.
Even if you tried to clear it, it'd still not give proper flow.
Replaced it and no issues again, and a better spray and flow.

At least they are relatively easy to replace and aren't very costly.
The front ones can just be a bit of a pair to get at, might consider doing the double up myself.
How did you guys do it? Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Has anyone done the double jet upgrade on a puma without removing the dash?
My washer jet assembly has broken in half some how, so I need to replace and I'm thinking of upgrading at the same time.

thanks

You can replace the centre jet without disturbing the main part of the dash, but to fit a second jet you will need to (at the very least) free off the entire dash and pull it away from the bulkhead.

It is not a huge job but neither is it trivial, and it is somewhat intimidating if you're not spanner-happy.

Here's a couple of photos as promised, of my td5. This was the easiest solution, as it didn't require taking the dash out, only the ash tray. The t-piece just fits into the pipe that the old jet was attached to and fitted through a grommet in the same hole. There's plenty of spread on the nozzles to cover the whole screen and with them fitted the the wiper arm, allow different blades to be used Thumbs Up

My 300 is a bit different to this as the t-piece is inside the dash and the pipes come out the holes on the bulkhead, where left hand drive vehicles have the wipers, which I think is much neater.
Just keep forgetting to take a picture of them when I get chance Rolling Eyes

Took the dash out this morning for a look around and decided to leave the original jet in place in case I regress..

I noticed that the drivers side blanking hole for LHD wipers went straight through to the inside so I opted to route the pipes via that grommet (made 2 holes in the rubber bung) connected up and checked for leaks as t piece is inside but all looks to be OK. all connections were given a smear of silicon screen sealant.

The jets on each of the blades have 4 holes each and water goes where I want it.

Lets see how it goes.

I had the T piece behind the dash and the pipes went through the bulkhead via both LHD wiper bungs. That way negates the long hose to one of the nozzles. Thumbs Up

Never had an issue with my jets I run a nearly neat solution with no problems Thumbs Up
If I was going to alter anything I would look at fitting a bigger pump inside the engine bay .
Having the pipes on the outside looks wrong and is asking to be yanked off

I'm about to do the same mod with twin nozzles! Any detailed information about how much of the dash I've got to remove on my 2010 puma 90 would be useful Thumbs Up 2010 Defender 90 HT

had the dash open so decided to back track and remove the wiper mounted jets/exposed pipes and install new standard bulkhead jets but I put 3 of them in and now get a nice spread of water over the screen.

Retained the standard one and added the other 2 to the existing bulkhead holes.

Pressure seems fine but I do plan, when the weather improves to add a second pump 2006 TD5

John How much work to remove enough of the dash to install the two new jets? Also what sort of splitter did you use a T or a Y piece? Any information would be useful Thumbs Up 2010 Defender 90 HT

Using blades from the first post with built-in jets on the BLADE - what happens when the blades are no longer any good? You have to buy another set at 23 or can you swap over the jets to new (cheaper) blades? TD5 Defender 90
