Interior Grab Handles
I have a 90 hard top which now has a single Exmoor Trim Lock and fold seat in the back and side windows. You could say it is slowly transitioning to a Station Wagon however, I don't have rear headlining and no window trim/surrounds.

I have already insulated the rear area with foil backed closed cell foam over silent coat and will carpet trim it at some point to make it slightly less like the inside of a lunar capsule. I cannot justify the expense of full LR trims and roof lining (as nice it would be).

I will get to the point.... I could do with fitting a handful of grab handles (pun intended) and seem to think there are handles above each window, mounted to the trims and then a couple above the rear door in the 'telephone' shaped section in the Station Wagons.

Could someone share how these are mounted? Are these through the panels and into the metal of the bodywork or do they mount just into the plastic panels? Phil

They all mount into the metal of the bodywork... Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Self tapping screws into the lip where the sides meet the roof.

My side door ones (by the alpine windows on the 110) gave up over time, so are now nut&bolted.

I used front door inner handles screwed with decent sized screws into the inner gutter sections. Job done.
