Try following

Get a M6 Nut and bolt and two 10m spanners

Spin nut halfway up bolt.

Insert bolt into rivnut so nut touches rivnut.

Using both spanners, hold head of bolt still and turn the nut.

Effect should be to jack the bolt out and compress the rivnut onto the out rigger. Should only have to turn bolt a small amount to tighten the rivnut

See if that stops the rivnut spinning.

HTH

It works better if you put a washer between the nut and the rivnut before tightening.

Sounds good, but the bolts on the mudflaps are rotating so I can't get the mudflap off so I can get the problem sorted. The mudflap is banging about so needs tightening before it disapears.

Try prising the bolt head down with say a screwdriver/pry bar putting pressure on the rivnut, then you might be able to undo bolt.

Hope that makes sense.

Good luck.

A little feedback on the performance of these extensions. Run the Landy this week without the need to wash it Thumbs Up The guards stop about 80% of the muck that used to obscure the drivers window and door mirror, the sides of the Landy are also a lot cleaner meaning I stay clean getting in and out of it Thumbs Up On the whole I am glad I fitted them, once the rock sliders are fitted they should help some more as the brackets where designed with rock sliders fitted, but work almost as well without them.

It's mostly the bottom of the snorkel and a little of the drivers door.

The drivers window and mirror are now clean

Some spatter on the rear door.

When you have left lock on you still get some spatter but no where near as much as I used to get Thumbs Up

**Update** Received the following e-mail today...

Hi Malcolm,

Your mudflap extensions have been sent yesterday with parcel service.

The next 50 pairs of mudflap extensions will have an upgrade. I will sent you the additional U-profile for free……………this is easy to change and you do not need to use screws any more.

Thumbs Up So everything appears rosy again and teddy can sleep safe in the knowledge he's not getting hurled about just yet!! Very Happy If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I am going to try this approach before extending the arches. The guys in Canada still haven't gotten back to me over shipping two sets of Fekete's extensions back to the UK Rolling Eyes

Entreq extension brackets for mud flaps have finally arrived! Must say at a glance they appear well engineered with all stainless fixtures and fittings! Thumbs Up
May even spend a few hours polishing them up for extra bling factor! Cool If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
