Well it isn't booked so not committed yet Laughing

In seriousness there are a few reasons for the change.
First is the comfort of rear seat passengers which I have been having more or recently.
Secondly is security as the rear quater windows are notoriously easy to bypass without smashing them.
Thirdly is visibility at junctions, when I remove the bulkhead I will be sat much further back so I will be able to look out of what is currently panel at junctions. I think with the front door tops black to blend with the panoramic glass it will maintain its simplistic look just with another colour in the middle. Thumbs Up

I must say that most peoples reaction has surprised me Confused 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I might end up putting a wheel carrier on but hopefully I won't have to. A lot of modern cars only have a tube of sealant for a spare so I may just use that all the time and only take the spare wheel if I'm towing and therfore have somewhere to put it... 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Iv'e heard and i dont know how true it is but the tyre sealant when used in your "flat tyre" does not do the tyre any good and then you have to buy a new tyre Shocked
I hope someone can shed some light on this ? 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

I spoke to our local tyre place about this when I was in getting a mower tyre repaired. He said that the sealant is removable but it makes a right mess and takes ages to remove properly, this makes it uneconomical for the garage to remove to repair the tyre and pass the charge onto the customer. So garages just say to replace the tyre. To be honest I would only use the foam to get myself out of a dodgy situation such as on the hard shoulder. If I was to get a puncture in a 'safe' place then I would probably phone ats or similar and get a roadside repair Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Another option is the brown sticky string type repair kits. I carry one on my motorbike and have had to use it. Works great for a nail etc. The only time not having a physical spare becomes a major problem is if you get sidewall damage or a big gash in the tyre in which case any repair kit is useless.

Decisions decisions.... 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

yeah grafty I do agree with having windows in the sides of these, They are bit of a nightmare sadly with out them. It was the 1st upgrades my parents did to theirs that was fit side windows, and it was one of the 1st things I got the dealer to do for this one.

I have lived with it being a van for about 7 years however with the bulkhead removed and sitting further back it will be much easier with a window. I have a huge range or spares to choose from being a 2 defender and 2 range rover classic household lol. I do however have a matching 18inch spare just in case Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Hi grafty I like the panoramic glass and plan to put it on my 90sw for better security but also because I really like the van look and always wanted a hardtop but the visibility put me off. Mine is black so will from a distance look like side panels and maybe won't be so obvious. But saying that I really like the look of your hardtop so can understand everyone saying not to change it.

At the end of the day it is what's best for your needs and upto you what you do either way it will still be a great Landy Thumbs Up
