Another alternative is to use the Peugeot jets that fit onto the arms and have many jets direct onto the screen

Yes, standard pump, plumbing etc. - I just put a T-piece in behind the dash. I have a double-pump reservoir but the second one is for the rear screen obviously.

As I mentioned before, pressure or volume is not the issue. Placement of the fluid is. I use far far less than I did before I converted it because it goes straight where it's needed. Though I did get through a whole reservoir full this week just gone as I seemed to spend most of the week stuck behind lorries and so was using the washers every 30 seconds or so!

Upto the TD5 the bulkhead has 9mm holes where you can put the jets in. From the Puma there are different and much bigger holes, with an awkward shape. In these holes you can't put the regular jets, therefore i designed a spacer (hopefully i get the foto in this post Wink ) and then you can use the regular jets. And you don't have to change the pump, it's delivering sufficient water. Even when you spray from the front and the back at the same time.

@Retro Thanks, looks spot on in your YouTube clip - massive improvement. Mine's going in for the mod next week. Been thinking about it for ages, but now that the winter grime has set in again I can't put up with the useless single washer any longer. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

Ref dash not having to come out in a puma- on mine I removed the center console (2 screws, pull to remove clips, remove wiring blocks), I then removed the metal bracket blocking the view of the back of the washer jet ( 8mm bolt, 4x plastic Christmas tree screw things with plugs) and simply tightened the washer jet mount with a 13mm deep socket after pulling pipe off the rear. Hopefully this helps someone. Realistically 15/20mins. Oh and a flashlight.

John that's priceless news!

I was going to have a go and see if I could see a way through it as I have had the center part of the dash out a few times for radio fitting and thought it couldn't be far away - now I know it is possible that's a massive help!!!

Top Man !!!!! Thumbs Up

TDi4 - Please could you explain how you fitted those without the dash removal. Are they glued in place?

Would you be willing to share the stl file?

I do not need it now, but someone might.

Another simple upgrade is to fit the red top rear washer pump to the front as this is more powerful than the black topped standard one apparently... 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I did swap mine round and it made a difference.

Very easy to do - IIRC there are joints on the pipes between the heater and inner wing on the puma that made it easier that reaching through to the actual pumps.

Absolute top tip, thanks!

My nozzle popped off in the frost yesterday whe I squirted the screen, I heard it rattle off the bonnet and bounce under a back wheel.

Using John's method it only took 20 minutes to fit a new one. I didn't bother replacing the pressed steel bracket since the upgraded head unit doesn't it for support and it appears to do nothing else useful.

Anyone know a part number for the bit that pops off?

Anyone fitted (heated) bonnet jets or know of suitable ones?

Thank you. Thumbs Up

For some reason the front part on its own is more expensive than the complete assembly. Shocked Explain that if you can!
