What with the Russians and the USA squaring up in Syria an 40 million Russians recently taking part in Civil Defense exercises is anyone preparing for WWIII or am just being paranoid??? Cheers Don.

We have enough lead paint in our house to protect against all but a direct hit.
Mind you, not even the Germans bothered coming over this far South West in France. I'm pretty safe |

I hope it doesn't kick off, I've not finished modding my Def yet. If it does, I'm straight off to the Bistro de Sérac for a large slab of aged sirloin and a fine bottle of claret. With Mrs Grenadier of course. Then drive to the summit of a local mountain and watch the fireworks with a bottle of Krug. No more war for me, been there, done that. It's December 2020, temperatures are below zero and, ever since GazProm turned the UK's supply off, old folks are burning their Daniel O'Donnell cd's to keep warm. Prime Minister Corbyn throws some more of Chalutz's bagels in the oven and offers Comrade Putin a Smirnoff daquiri. Abbott and Thornberry go girl-on-girl on Maggie Thatchers old chaise-lounge. Even the bobbies outside the door of No10 are shivering, probably because they hav'nt been paid since Labour won the election. Suddenly they stop and listen........a faint chugging noise in the distance. It's getting louder and then a strangely familiar shape comes through the freezing, foggy night. PM Corbyn and his comrades come out into the square and, along with the pressmen and bobbies, peer at the thing........
Then, realisation dawns. They stifle chuckles, roll eyes and then start laughing........" it's OK lads, don't panic, it's just another f***ing Defender prototype " "Tell you what Jez" say's Putin "let the guys at Lada build them. Far better build quality at a fraction of the roubles" |
