BAS seems to be the one (and a site sponsor). However, I had mine done early into my ownership and got Mike at Dynachip to do it (more than happy and great results but can't compare it to a BAS)
...I am thinking about going for one of their new intercoolers so might get a remap to match... TD5 Defender 90 Discovery 3 HSE |

a 1999 TD5 needs a new chip put in, its not flashable through the oBD socket unless you have a NNN ECU. "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild.

Hi All
Alive Tuning can remap your early MSB Ecu no problem but the Ecu would need to be opened up and have the eprom chip replaced. This can be done at our HQ in Lincolnshire or at any of the Land Rover shows. We will be at Billing Land Rover show this weekend offering our remapping services if that works for anyone. Hope this helps Alex Divers |

Had an ALIVE remap on my old TD5 and on my TDCI, transformed both. They are great and usually do good show offers. Gary is always flat out about 20 hours a day at the shows doing remaps!

In the past i have had both BAS and Alive remaps (current car is a BAS remap). Both are fantastic and well worth doing. All i will say is go with one of the reputable companies and don't be tempted by cheaper "internet" remappers and certainly don't go down the route of plug in boxes
Had a guy recently contacted me, had his TDV6 remapped by a unknown company (cost him £99!!) but it almost shafted his engine, he ended up going back to standard One thing to take into account is how good your clutch is , After remapping my 90 at BAS it had so much extra oomph that the original clutch (150000 miles) couldn't take it and it would slip in every gear above 3rd Paul 2000 90 TD5,galv chassis, d2 axles ,Bas remap , alisport intercooler , d2 transfer box , side windows-more to come-much more!! *GONE* 2004 110 TD5 Double cab. *GONE* 2010 110 2.4 XS station wagon |

As it happens, I have just replaced a TDV6 in a Disco 3, 3 weeks after a "non-specialist" remap...
Cost him £180, not a huge amount less than Alive charge for their maps. the engine after less than 1,000 miles... He ended up selling the car as a non-runner, and lost £8k on it, for the sake of saving £120 |
