While doing the exchange it was found that the drive flange and the off side half shaft splines had worn badly moving between 4 and 6 degrees so I had those changed at the same time.

Now to give a test towing the tin tent up to Scotland next week.

Mine had a new rear diff and one piece half & drive shafts under warranty back in June. Within a couple of weeks it developed the same noise it went in for replacement with in the first place.
