300Tdi Uprated Intercooler who from??
Hey peeps, im on the look out for an uprated Intercooler, When I look around to me there seems two choices, 1 Ebay unknowns 2 Ali Sport.

Now giving there is loads on ebay by different people I wanted to hear who has theirs from who and did they measure up?? Im kinda liking the Ali Sport one but not sure I can justify it so was looking else where but don't want to get one that is poorly made and or fails to deliver !

So peeps experiances please.

Alisport always come up and are rated well. I have a friend who has a Twisted own intercooler and rates it incredibly well on his 300 TDI. Says after they tweaked the fuel pump and put the larger intercooler on it pulled like a train. But Alisport seems to crop up all the time.

Try Allard, they make a good intercooler too. Had a full width one in a 300tdi, they did a deal for all pipework and fittings required.

Also Motor and Diesel not sure where theirs is made, but a more cost effective option than Allisport.

And not forgetting the forum sponsors at Alive Tuning Thumbs Up

Unbranded inter cooler off eBay? Well I am no welder but looking at the photos some of the welding did not inspire confidence in me. A couple of years ago Allisport were struggling to get welder so who could weld to their quality.

On our 300 TDi we have a Twisted Performance intercooler on and has been on for at least 10 years. No problems. It does pull well

I have a Twisted drop in intercooler on my 300tdi and it is great quality. It's been on for 5 years now and no problems. I did think that Twisted got their intercoolers from Allisport but I may be mistaken.

I have seen variable quality of intercoolers from eBay. They all seem to be made in China and some seem OK others look pretty poor. I have a Chinese made ally radiator from eBay and it is perfect. No obvious difference between that and the 'brand' named ones except it is a fraction of the price.

ive had one from here. tho it was the 115mm version so much wider. been running it for 12mths at 1.3bar without any issues. welds are much much better than the ones in the pictures so dont let that put you off.

Cheers for the reply would be getting a stock size one as hear a full width one can cause issues when running at low RPM.

I've just done a good run down the A9 and 520ish was all I got.

Maybe I should try tuning it a bit more.... maybe get closer to the 700. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some form of EGT (Exhaust gas temperature) monitoring at a guess.

Thermocouple in the manifold with some sort of gauge such as the Madman EGT or EMS2
