Oooh tempting... I'm not an expert but would I be right in thinking this isn't a 'wide track'? Is it mk1? Silly question i guess but any bad points?

Morning, I'm probably less of an expert but I would say that it's a later MK1 because of the position of the jockey wheel. I'll check the measurements later but I assume that if it's a MK1 then it wouldn't be a wide track. Although I'm making these assumptions based on a bit of Internet research rather than any experience!
In terms of bad points, there honestly aren't any. Ive kept everything greased & working. It tows really nicely, very stable and easy to reverse for a short trailer. It's much sturdier than anything else that I've ever used. Hi, any photos of the tub empty, condition of underside and really like to see it on you Defender, if not too much trouble. Just want to see how it 'sits'.

Great price for an already smart looking sankey with a hitch. It should sit fine as long as you get a dixon drop plate, its deigned to go on the 4 bolts in the cross members but with the drop plate you can get it close. Although I'm tempted to get the wheel carrier to move it slightly up. Go on James  |

James, no problem to do some photo's but I'm not going to be there for a couple of weeks. It all looks in good condition to me but I'm happy to PM you the address if you want to pop over & have a look, it's only sitting on my driveway.
It sits fine on both of my Defenders but as Stacey007 says, you would need the Dixon drop plate. I have the NATO hitch fitted & ready to go, all you would have to to would be to get the drop plate fitted. 2013 90 HT 2015 110 DC 2012 FFRR 1996 Discovery |
