Values
I occasionally get approached, when out and about in the LRD, about selling my 2000 Td5 csw. Can't imagine life without, but I am I mad not accepting a stupid offer?

I paid what I thought was silly money for a 2004 xtech 90 ht with low mileage in November last year but I prefer it to our new 110dc in pretty much every way. Keep it! As fatboy slim says, once it's gone it's gone. Good examples will hold their value well.

I like to think everything is always for sale for the right price. That is just the capitalist in me. So since you asked, I agree with what has been said already. You got it for a reason, remember that and you'll never second guess yourself, because, once its gone... there are no more dude, thats it! 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Depends entirely on why you would want the money imho, or what you think you could do with that money
rather than it being a 2000 td5.

For me it would depend how 'stupid' the offer was bearing in mind i'd be instantly shopping for another defender /hmm 3 Landrovers

Difficult one.

Everyone has their price, but I bought mine both because it was well priced and I have a lot of history/memories associated with it!

Here in Vancouver, a MY2000 Td5 in good condition (LHD) could go for anywhere from $35,000 to $55,000 (that's £17,000 to £27,000!) People are paying that kind of money... and it's going up. Problem is some of what is coming in is average condition with new paint... buyers are distracted with the shiny new paint.... it's a Landrover thing...

Im fairly confident to say, I wouldn't accept any offer for my landy.

I've made the mistake before, I sold it for what felt like a decent amount of money, bought myself a shiney few year old BMW.

A week later the novelty wore off, I knew what a mistake I'd made, and I'd let something go I'd spent far too many hours and money on getting it how I wanted, and I was now effectively driving a car that never brought a smile to my face, no matter how "nice" it was. It was just a tool to get from A to B.

I actually did a deal with the trader that bought it and bought it back. Never again. 2003 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Belize Green - "Betty"

For the right amount... Everything has a price. Might I respectfully suggest that if you are talking about it you have thought about it and know what the price might be in your mind. Just remember why you got it in the first place, they don't make em anymore and as has already been said once its gone...

Here in upper Canada (as some call it) the prices are not silly like on the left coast in Vancouver but they are bit less and steadily climbing year after year. I get offers all the time for mine, I just tell them how they can get their own... If you can afford to keep, then keep it. If you do part with it, at some point you will find yourself saying "I wish I hadn't done that" and life is just too short think or say things like that.

With that little miles and that condition, you should really be looking at circa £16K!

£14K is practically giving it away!

Do you need it? No - Sell. Yes - Don't sell.

Could you use the money for something you'd get more enjoyment out of? Yes - Sell. No - Don't sell.

Simple.
