Switzerland 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
Headlight cleaning system
Looks promising for clearing LED headlamps which do not really warm up from snow in the winter.
From the German language website it looks like the item is commercially available already and ready to be installed. Guess the English translation has not been updated yet.
Wonder if it also works for a SVX front, need to check.

Daniele,

Go to Entreq website. Click on:
- Werkstatt
- Beleuchtung und Scheinwerferreinigung
- Scheinwerferreinigungsanlage Land Rover Defender

The price is €589 including VAT and installation at their workshop. You can not just order the item for installing it yourself. I should be at Entreq again later this summer for another SVX job, so hope to see the item then.

Headlight washers I'd say are just a waste of water and dont even work on cars designed for them effectively.
Would be the last thing i'd want to fit, although was tempted to get a genuine land rover defender kit for one of my others, but only because it was unusual.

Agree they don't do much for cleaning, but was thinking more about removal of accumulating snow from LED headlights which do not heat up enough to melt it. From what I see in the movie, that would likely work. This snow accumulation on LED headlamps has been well reported on here. Now...., I do not drive in the snow.... Agree at 100%.

Hotshot should be the best solution for de-icing the LED headlamp...... Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

I also think that the installation on the SVX could be a problem due to the shape of the headlamp surround

Plenty of washer jet styles to choose from

External washer pump and a hotshot , should be fairly easy to do

jet like this maybe

Having read this link, it set my mind to solving yet another problem i never knew i had.

Couple of Waher jets from Halfords, £1.99 each. and a bit of pipe.

Fashioned a small bracket with a Wickes bracket bent into shape. and bolted to my light guards

Connected it to my rear wash jet pipe, as never use it.

Needs a slight adjustment to line up, but seems to work like a charm. Combined cost less than £10.
