United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black
Front bumper alignment
I have a new (well 4 week old) 90 SW. I have only just noticed that the bumper is out of alignment (horizontally) by approx 4mm, namely it is lower at one end than the other. I've not yet taken the bumper off to have a good look but there appears at first sight to be no simple way to adjust it as the bumper slots onto the front chassis outrigger with no room to fit any spacers.

I'm reluctant at this point to take it back to the dealer as I can envisage them using a trolly jack and a block of wood. Can someone let me know if it can be adjusted and how to do it.

It's probably the wings that aren't straight, making the bumper appear uneven. It's a Defender, that is how they are built I'm afraid! 4mm is pretty normal IME - if that's going to play on your mind then you might be better off selling it now and buying a Toyota...

If you look hard enough , your find other bits a lot more than 4mm out !

Discomog - the vehicle is under warranty so take it to the dealership and get them to sort it out - you must not touch it! The guys at my dealership are starting to break a sweat every time I walk in. Well for three years I don't have to live with the tiny or big flaws .... after that it becomes a different story - then I start to have my fun "Landy Time"!
