@Mash, with that it would look exactly how I like to camp for one night.
Luckily my car is a bit bigger so we don't even need the bed. Mr. Green

Nice set up Andy Thumbs Up

There is not one setup/tent which will suit everybody.

In fact there is probably not one setup which will suit one person in every camping situation.

We have several tents and the one which goes depends on what we are doing.

Ahh but it is.
Three clips, 50 swings of a handle, hook the ladder on and get under a full size double duvet, on a four inch mattress with two full size proper each. No carrying sleeping bags back and forth, blowing up beds, silly little pillows or any other messing about. So easy after the pub.

Peeing, not so ideal, we just take bottles up, and use them at night, have also got down ladder sometimes, but it's not ideal in most ground tents with Velcro, zips, pegs to tread on, but then were not as old as some Whistle Whistle Whistle

Going back to the OP on this.....

BEFORE you shell out a shed load of cash on all this fancy expedition type stuff.... Buy a cheapo pop up from decathlon on similar and find out if camping REALLY is for you first of all... Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

who needs a tent ... ?
ok you need to be a bit proactive to set it up but its as much of an option as a roof tent.

however we do have 2 awnings that we put to good use when away.

Not that I'm a cheapskate or anything but for short breaks I use this;

For longer breaks the stately home is put up, plenty of room to move around in.
