Steelwheel question
Regarding 235/85R16 tubeless tyres. Do Land Rover have a white steel wheel that will take these? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

HD (Wolf) wheels are 6.5" and will take them fine.

In my opinion wolf wheels are amongst the best looking wheels out there, a quick online search will show you that there are two main types, Genuine wolf wheels made by or made for Land Rover, and replica wolf wheels which are not. I know of people who have got the replica ones and are happy.
One point worth noting, If you opt for the genuine wolf wheels, they come in both tubeless and tubed type.

Have a look at this thread - it might help to inform your buying decision. All is not what it might seem.

Interesting link there Cuthbert. John Paddock has ANR4583WH - 16x6.5 Wolf Rim - Tubeless White£39.50 (exc.VAT)
£47.40 (inc.VAT) .
John Craddock has Limestone Wolf Wheel 6.5X16 Tubeless (ANR4583W) for £50 excluding vat.
No mention of load ratings but as it is for a standard 110 they should be O.K. Basically I was just thinking of putting 235/85R onto white steel wheels. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

You may find those are the lightweight versions. Check the load rating before ordering - that's why I went to TerraFirma. There appears to be a lot of retailers offering the really cheap wheel rims at the price you would expect to pay for the heavy duty versions. Buyer beware - as they say. Also factor in the cost of painting - as may seem to come in primer or gloss black.

Might see you on the roads of Co Donegal in 2015 - I hope the car parks are better than down at Bundoran with their 'Anti-Defender' height limit barriers.

Will check out the Terra Firma wheels.
It'll be either me or the wife you spot driving - I'll be the good looking one. Mr. Green
