Security and Insurance reductions
Has anyone contacted their insurer after installing security devices like pedal locks and disklocks and got a reduction/discount from their insurance premium? 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it.

The road less travelled.... is a muddy one!

Thatcham approved tracker.....Yes! If it's not Thatcham approved it is very unlikely whatever you fit that it will qualify for an insurance discount.
Why not call your provider as it varies dependant on who your insurance is with. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Funnily enough, I sent my insurance company (NFU) the insurance letter I received from Skytag only yesterday and it's 'been forwarded to the underwriters'.

I'll let you know if there's any reduction in premium but I'm not hopeful!

I have every concievable security device fitted and each year I ask for a discount and each year I get refused.
At the moment I am with Pete Best underwritten by Aviva and they also do not give a discount.

Hello Josh K

Open Air Security
I have had the same experience as K9F and would think this is typical.

Contained Security
If your Garage is protected, with an approved alarm, this can also have an effect,
