Scotland 2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Santorini Black
Hope you're enjoying the sunshine Graham, we have had snow, sleet, heavy rain and high winds in Airdrie today Big Cry

I have no doubt in the mechanics skills to get it back on the road for you by the time you're back!! Thumbs Up

I have bent the steering bar on the Bowler a few times, a few of the remedies to finish the race have included pulling the bar straight with ratchet straps, driving a 101 over it and the worst of all robbing the off the 110 in the pits to get mobile Twisted Evil

Cheers

Hi Gary

I'm assuming you're talking about Stevie? Really nice big guys Thumbs Up

Be good to catch up, my 110 has been having water ingress and corrosion repairs in the bodyshop for 10 days and there's no sign of it coming back yet!!!

Enjoy your holiday.

Cheers

Well it's still not back on the road Sad

The technician has been too busy recently as he's getting married and I feel a bit awkward asking one of the other lads to do the job but I'm getting bored waiting on it getting done
Needs a new nsr stub axel & bearings & stuff too.

And bits seem to keep on coming for it Laughing

Exmoor trim seat risers picked up off Gumtree - drivers & passenger side. Look like new
And a snow cowl arrived in time for Scottish summer time!! Cool

Well,
The stub axel and bearing lasted all of about 9 miles!!! (on road!!!)

So it's getting a discovery axel fitted this weekend along with brand new
disks & calipers fitted on the rear, currently on drums!
Also snagged a new 24 smile axel fir it off ebay and that's getting fitted too!

Hopefully will be able to start getting the load area lined on my next weekend off
Then Mrs P might want to come with me for some muddy fun Whistle

Roof tent fitted a few weeks ago.
(Thanks Fathaggis for delivery Thumbs Up )

It sure makes driving a bit more nervous with the added weight up high , with a 50mm lift and the 33" tyres!! Embarassed

Still to get a chance to use the tent, looks like that on hold for a bit as we got married on Friday and away on honeymoon tomorrow. Using the tent is not an option I'm afraid!! Mr. Green

Roof tent came off today and new lockable cubby box fitted.

Next job is to re locate the stereo to the cubby compartment and then get the load area tidied up and insulated a bit. As it's a 90HT it's got no sound insulation in the rear whatsoever Neutral

Had it out all weekend just stomping around and enjoying the sun.

Had nowhere to go, so just drove Thumbs Up

Thanks JK, Mrs P says the light bar needs to come up to line up with the roof rack Rolling Eyes

I dunno what she knows, but I think it looks nice and moody as it sits and doesn't actually interrupted my line of sight. I have Cobra bucket seats in it causing me to sit quite low, still to fix my Exmoor seat riser Embarassed

Did however yesterday, manage to get almost all of that horrible horse hair/ coconut soundproofing schect removed by using an oscillating saw and a blade to simply whittle it all out ready for my next day off to install my soundproofing and roof insulation too.

Can't wait to get that job done, Mrs P refuses to get in it until it looks like the inside of the XS Demo at work
