Ideas for Mounting 47l ARB Fridge
Hi,
Im going to get round to mounting my 47l ARB soon in the boot as the dual battery setup is now installed. I bought the ARB tiedown kit which includes some brackets and straps but im thinking of ways and where to mount these. Has anyone done similar in the back of a 110 and can give me some tips?

Thank
Riy

We tend to carry our fridge in the middle of our 110's

IF you know exactly where you want the fixings to go you could use lash down eyes, these are about £9 for six. Alternatives are short lengths of cargo track with a mounting ring. These are about £14 for a pair.

Want a fully adjustable system use continuous lengths of cargo track at about £14/ metre plus as many mounting rings/ types as required

If you don't need 5 seat take out the 40% split second row and fit there it's where it used to put them on expedition builds 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

Actually if you want to mount it in the split 40 single seat, I'd love to buy that from you, and can also supply or swap you an alloy frame that bolts in the old seat mounts and holds the fridge perfectly. Can even have it welded so it looks like a work or art. Two kids can still fit in the other double seat, Fridge access is very good, especially if you fit door stay extensions so the door opens fully. Then you have the whole back to fit all your other stuff. Need to have a Tdci however. My Defender and travels

Turn a defender spare wheel carrier upside down, mount on the single seat fixing and put some ply on top. I did this, cost about £8 and has survived Icelandic corrugations with no problem.

In our 90 we have no choice but to mount in the rear loadspace but we find it works really well and the fridge is a good height for me (5'4). We tie down on the standard LR tie down rings at the wheel arch side and using a short length of cargo track down the centre. The track also provides rings for tie down of cargo in the other half of the tub, which just happens to be a perfect fit for wolf boxes. We find there is then plenty of storage on top of the wheel arches and behind the fridge for other bits and pieces - and we can use the wheel arch tie down rings for that too if necessary.

thanks for the replies, some interesting suggestions.

Middle would be nice however child no. 3 is coming next year so i think i will need to keep the back seats. Looks like a mount in the boot is most likely

Cheers,
Riy
