2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Firenze Red

Home made fridge mount

Since having a look at a few of the ways to make a fridge mount, I opted for the spare wheel mount version made avail as I've have a Mantec wheel carrier put on.

Basically knocked the weld out of the single top bolt on the wheel carrier and grinded off the bottom two. Then painted the wheel carrier with hammerite.

Then took the single rear seat out.

Using the single seat captive bolts, drill a new hole in the wheel carrier base.

Measure up the fridge and get some ply.

Drill holes in ply once measured up and attach wheel carrier and ply.

Finished off with. Bit of spare camping mat and some beading from my bathroom that we are currently ripping out.

Cost £8.40 (Minus the Mantec carrier
